On September 1, 2026, the Bank hosted a reception celebrating its 80th anniversary, themed “Roots in the Land, Cultivating the Future of Badminton.” The event welcomed Chuang Tsui-Yun, Minister of Finance, and Chuang Hsou-Yuan, FSC Vice Chairperson, as well as the Bank’s former chairmen and general managers, representatives from the financial sector, and valued corporate clients. Through a commemorative video, the debut of a new mascot, and a special badminton exhibition, attendees witnessed the Bank’s enduring brand spirit: deep roots in Taiwan and steady progress toward the future.
In her remarks, Minister Chuang commended the Bank for its steady operating performance and robust asset quality in recent years. She further highlighted the Bank's alignment with national initiatives while maintaining strong asset quality, serving as a cornerstone for housing finance, industrial growth, and public welfare support. FSC Vice Chairperson Chuang also praised the Bank for its corporate culture of integrity and its steadfast commitment to protecting customer rights, as well as for actively fulfilling its social responsibilities as a state-owned financial institution.
The Bank’s Chairman, He Ying-Ming, pointed out that since its establishment in 1946, Land Bank has been dedicated to its policy-driven mission. From the “37.5% Arable Rent Program,” the distribution of public land, the “Land to the Tillers Policy,” water resources projects, industrial zone development, and public housing to today’s policies such as the redevelopment of dilapidated and aging buildings and the “Youth Preferential Housing Loan,” the Bank has consistently driven national development through the power of finance. Through the dedication of successive leadership teams and all employees, the Bank has built a robust operational foundation, demonstrating its value in combining financial expertise with a social mission.
The opening ceremony of the Bank’s 80th-anniversary celebration reception featured a striking visual display in which the lights at all branches of the Bank across Taiwan were illuminated one by one, extending to overseas branches. This symbolized how the Bank has taken root locally over the past eight decades, gradually but steadily extending its reach to the world. This was followed by an awards ceremony for the charitable trust’s donors, honoring their long-standing commitment to public welfare and their enthusiastic dedication to giving back to society. Their generosity has made a difference in building a more compassionate society. The bank has joined forces with “Xingjian Village” in Yilan to launch an organic rice sponsorship program. Driven by the active participation of its branches across Taiwan, the Bank donated 3,600 kilograms of the harvested organic rice to 12 social welfare organizations, giving back to society through concrete actions. Following the ceremony, an 80th-anniversary commemorative video was played, taking the distinguished guests in attendance on a journey through the Bank’s key historical milestones and memorable moments. The video beautifully highlighted the Bank’s deep-rooted legacy of growing alongside the nation over the past eight decades.
At the 80th-anniversary celebration, Land Bank unveiled its new mascot, a groundhog named “Bobi.” With its friendly and lively demeanor, “Bobi” interacted with attendees, showcasing the Bank’s youthful and dynamic brand identity. Moving forward, “Bobi” will deepen the Bank’s connection with the public through a variety of activities and serve as the Bank's ambassador for special badminton exhibitions, continuing Land Bank’s long-standing support for sports development in Taiwan.
As a 100% state-owned bank deeply rooted in Taiwan for 80 years, the Bank is guided by its core values of “integrity, passion, professionalism, and sustainability.” Looking ahead, it will continue to leverage its financial expertise, stay attuned to customer and industry needs, and deepen its commitment to digital innovation and sustainable development, as it works hand in hand with all sectors of society. The Bank remains dedicated to becoming the most reliable partner for businesses and the most trusted financial institution for the public, moving forward steadily into its next eighty years.
