        Land Bank supports rural students playing basketball abroad! With its public welfare fund, Land Bank sponsored the Nan’ao Elementary School Basketball Team from Yilan County to participate in the 2026 Paris World Games - Basketball. Pai-Tai Chen, Manager of the Bank’s Personal Finance Department, and Yu-Chin Yeh of the Su’ao Branch presented the sponsorship funds to Nan’ao Elementary School, encouraging the team to achieve further success for Taiwan and aim for its 12th world championship title.
　　Nan’ao Elementary School has long been committed to grassroots basketball development. The school’s basketball team has represented Taiwan in numerous competitions, winning 11 world championships in international tournaments. Kuang-Chang Lin, Principal of Nan’ao Elementary School, stated that the basketball team sets a goal for itself each year to compete abroad. By doing so, the school hopes to lead the children out of Nan’ao to see the global arena, and to foster self-confidence, team spirit, and the courage to face challenges through sports.
　　However, schools in rural areas often face a lack of resources. In a bid to help rural students realize their dream of winning a championship, Land Bank utilized the Do Do Sport Card’s public welfare fund to support the Nan’ao Elementary School basketball team’s tournament expenses this year. This practical action helped these young athletes step onto an international stage, competing against teams from all over the world and putting Taiwan on the map.
　　Land Bank has been supporting local sports development and rural communities for a long time. Other than establishing a badminton team and a women’s tennis team to nurture athletic talent, the Bank also encourages its customers to support Taiwan’s sports development via the “Do Do Sport Card.” With every purchase, 0.2% is contributed to a public welfare fund to make a difference in Taiwan sports, turning everyday spending into a driving force for cultivating Taiwan’s future sports talent.
　　With years of dedicated effort, Land Bank has been recognized with the “Gold Award” in the sponsorship category, the “Long-Term Sponsorship Award,” and the “Gold Award” in the promotion category of the “Sports Activist Award” from the Ministry of Sports for 17 consecutive years. Moreover, for the first time, the Bank received the “iTaiwan iSport Certification,” demonstrating its commitment to supporting Taiwan’s sports development through concrete actions and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Looking ahead, the Bank will continue to create a prosperous future for enterprises, society, and the environment.
